Terms

These terms cover the HYPE Athens app (currently in beta on TestFlight, heading to the App Store) and this website, including the waitlist and venue registration. By creating an account or using either, you agree to them. Our registered company details will be published here before the public launch.

Who can use HYPE

You must be 18 or older; we check your date of birth at signup. One account per person, with accurate information. HYPE is built for nightlife in Athens and the service is focused on Greece.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in methods (email one-time code, email and password, or Google) secure. Tell us at info@hypeathens.com if you think someone else got in.

Venue & business accounts

Venue accounts are provisioned by us after a venue is approved, and they belong to the venue, not to any individual employee. Venues are responsible for what they publish: events, live status, prices, photos and everything else on their profile must be accurate and kept up to date.

Your content

You own the content you post. By posting, you grant HYPE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within the app so the service can work. Do not post anything illegal. Do not harass people, impersonate anyone, or spam. Content that breaks these rules can be removed.

Check-in integrity

Check-ins are location-verified: you can only check in when you are physically at the venue. Spoofing GPS, automating check-ins or otherwise manipulating location data is prohibited and can get your check-ins removed and your account suspended. Verified reviews only mean something if the verification is real.

Moderation & enforcement

Reporting and blocking are built into the app. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion when these terms are broken, and serious violations do not get a warning first.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist registers your interest in early access. It is not a contract, guarantees no launch date, and you can leave at any time by emailing info@hypeathens.com.

Venue registration

Registering a venue on this site submits a lead for our founding-venue programme. It does not create a listing or any paid obligation; our team will contact you to set up your profile. Social-proof figures shown on this site reflect real confirmed sign-ups; we do not use fabricated reviews or numbers.

The service, honestly

HYPE is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uptime or that any feature stays the way it is today. Venue information (opening hours, events, prices, live status) comes from venues and from the crowd, and it can be wrong or stale; verify with the venue before you go. HYPE tells you where the night is, it does not run the venues.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings). We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse other users or attack the service. If your account ends, the content licence above ends with it, except for the de-identified aggregates described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We can update these terms as the product evolves; the date at the top tells you when. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app or by email. Using HYPE after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute belongs to the courts of Athens, Greece.
